Welcome to the Loyalist Township Firefighter recruitment process. Volunteer Firefighters are your neighbours, co-workers, and your friends. Volunteer Firefighters benefit from extensive training, experience and community involvement.
Requirements to become a Volunteer Firefighter are a commitment to attending emergency calls and training, proof of a valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driver’s abstract, doctor’s clearance, a satisfactory criminal record check including vulnerable sector, and an interest in serving the community. Offers of employment remain conditional pending successful completion of “DZ” driver’s licensing requirement.
We accept applications for the positions of Volunteer Firefighters year-round to establish a pool of candidates that can be drawn upon when positions become available.
