Zoning for kennels must be approved through the Planning Department in accordance with the by-law. Due to property zoning requirements, all kennel licenses will be issued in the company name and property owners’ names.

This license is issued to the owner herein described, subject to the provisions of the Municipal Act and to the Loyalist Township by-laws and will continue in force until December 31.

Please ensure that all dogs kept on the premises have proper identification in the event they get loose. Since they will not have dog tags to identify them, it is imperative that the Township be notified as soon as possible to avoid impound fees, should they be taken to the Kingston Humane Society.

The information on this license is collected under the authority of the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and will be used for the dog licensing and animal control records of the municipality.
