Commemorative Bench and Tree Application

1st Intake deadline | April 1st (Spring installation and planting)
2nd Intake deadline | September 1st (Fall installation and planting)

• Tree donations include an engraved plaque on a 12-inch square stone to be placed below the tree.
• Bench donations include a 2-inch by 6-inch engraved plaque to be mounted on the bench.

Procedure 

1. Complete and submit the required application form. 
2. Application is reviewed and either the:

• Request, including preferred location, is approved; 
• The applicant is contacted with an offer of an alternate location or tree species; or to confirm plaque messaging
• Request is denied

3. Upon successful application, full payment is to be made. 
4. Upon receipt of full payment

• A receipt of payment will be provided to the applicant. 
• You will be notified if the bench/tree will be added to either the spring or fall installation schedule. 
• The bench/tree and accompanying plaque will be ordered. 

5. Planting/Installation will be scheduled as per the Policy. 
6. The donor will be notified in writing after the installation is complete. 
7. Donor is to contact the Recreation Office to book a gathering at the site of the bench/tree.  Please note that additional organized gatherings at this location would be an additional charge. 
8. A tax receipt will be issued to the donor.
